Organizations always needed to effectively manage information to meet strategic and operational management needs. Recorded call and screen interactions represent valuable information that needs to be manageable with the same ease and flexibility as any other form of data. However, the challenge of attaining comparable flexibility for this particular group has not been addressed adequately by a voice recording and call monitoring system developer until now.


Voice Print’s new, revolutionary Variable Retention Application allows organizations to establish retention and archiving policies to define how long recordings should be stored before being automatically discarded. This represents a major step forward from long-standing limits of merely being able to define one archival period for all records. Voice Print's voice recording and call monitoring system provides powerful tools that give users the flexibility they need to effectively and efficiently manage the process of retention of audio records.


These versatile tools are Class of Service (COS) and Variable Retention Application (VRA). The duration of recording, cost of consumable media, recycling, and the organization’s perspective on the importance of each interaction record are factors in defining the individual retention policies for automated interaction record management.


Class of Service (COS) comes standard with the Voice Print Call Recorders. This feature allows you to tag and retain selected groups of calls from 5 to 365 days based on predefined channel or agent groups. For your organization, it could be selected department/s or groups of employees performing a particular function, such as warranty support. Once the call becomes older than the predefined Long Term Storage (LTS) maximum, the call will be deleted from LTS. The call is never archived by the Voice Print voice recording and call monitoring system (onto removable media or network storage units dedicated for this purpose) and is deleted from the database.


Variable Retention Application (VRA) is a powerful optional add-on product that allows you to set audio record retention “rules” that are more specific. Simple or complex criteria grouped together (similar to search parameters) determine the retention period of calls.

  • Save Space on Your Archive Media - Calls that are tagged with either COS or VRA never need to be archived.
  • Save Space on the Long Term Storage Buffer – calls you need to retain only for a short period of time will be automatically removed when the pre-defined retention period is reached.
  • Advanced Security - Specify call retention limits on a per-channel or per-agent basis. Calls will be automatically removed from the system and its database.
