Is the recording system capable of connection to an existing network? Are various types of network communications supported such as TCP/IP, Ethernet (Net Bios/Novell), and Token Ring?
VPI's recording systems are capable of being connected to your network. It supports TCP/IP, Ethernet, Novell, and Token Ring topologies.
Does the network interface allow remote access of the recording system from various computer workstations located on LAN or WAN, or even outside of our network?
Remote “rich” client can be provided for control over LAN / WAN or, for access from ANY workstation with Internet access, you can implement secure Internet Portal based client access.
Can the remote control software be installed on any designated Microsoft Windows operating system workstation?
Yes. Any workstation with Windows Operating System (any version presently supported by Microsoft) can be used for remote control of the recording system. When Internet browser based interface is desired, the workstations also require Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.
Does the remote control software have the capability of being installed on a server and accessed via client workstations over the LAN?
The system is a self-contained stand-alone database server. Therefore, the acquisition of additional server or use of your data network server to run the recording system on your network is not required. |
