Exceptional Next Generation 9-1-1 Ready Recording and QA Solutions
VPI, an active member of the NENA Next Generation Partner Program and the NG9-1-1 ICE 8 Planning Committee, is leading the way in pioneering NG9-1-1 multimedia recording and incident recreation solutions, complemented with modules designed to conform to newly emerging quality assurance and training standards, developed by APCO in cooperation with NENA and thought leaders from top emergency communications agencies.

Member of NENA Next Generation Partner Program
VPI is a dedicated member of NENA’s Next Generation Partner Program (NGPP) - a collaborative effort between public and private stakeholders. The Next Generation Partner Program was created to anticipate the impact of emerging technologies on 9-1-1 services and provide an expert forum to support resolution of basic issues that, if unresolved, would block progress toward NG9-1-1. The goal of NENA’s Next Generation Partner Program is to accelerate the implementation of NG9-1-1 systems and ultimately to ensure that everyone has access to emergency services anytime, anywhere, from any device. VPI is joined by nearly 50 members representing service providers, allied public safety associations, several 9-1-1 Authorities and state 9-1-1 offices and vendors.

Member of NG9-1-1 ICE 8 Planning Committee for Interoperability with Recording & Logging
As part of VPI EMPOWER 911 technology initiative, VPI’s product development managers are participating in the Planning Committee for NENA's NG-911 Industry Collaboration Event 8 (ICE-8). This interoperability event will focus on testing and validation of NG-911 elements and interfaces for Next Generation 9-1-1 Logging Recorder Systems. VPI’s product managers have been instrumental in helping develop the testing standards. During ICE-8, VPI will be testing advanced, IP-enabled Next Generation Logging Recording systems, including an additional mode of capturing calls via SIP-based recording (active mode). When NG9-1-1 is fully implemented, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) will be the protocol standard used to deliver multimedia communications over the ESInet as specified in NENA's standards.
